Douglas May, holds degrees in design degrees from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and the University of North Texas. He began his professional career in New York, accumulating experience that laid the foundation to a multi-disciplinary approach to communication design.

 

Doug is a past board member and officer of AIGA DFW, as well as past president and board member of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. He has taught and served on advisory boards for undergraduate and graduate design programs, as well as judged professional and student competitions in the US and Mexico. In 2011, Doug was honored as an AIGA Fellow by the DFW Chapter, for his contribution to the North Texas design community.

 

His clients have included Aetna, Neiman Marcus, PageNet, Overhead Door Corporation, PC Service Source, Texas Instruments, Kaiser Permanente, KPMG, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Turner Construction.

 

Over the last 30 years, his company's commitment to excellence has been recognized in design annuals and award competitions including; New York Art Directors Club, Communications Arts Magazine, D&AD, AIGA, Graphis, Type Directors Club, and Print Case Books among others.

 

Doug's design consultancy was been recognized as one of Seven hot design firms to watch in the US by HOW Magazine Business Annual and has also been tagged as one of “best and brightest” design firms in the US in Graphic Design America Two and Brand Design USA.

 

An early adopter of Web technologies, his work has been recognized by major digital media award competitions including CIO Magazine’s WebBusiness 50/50 winner, Communication Arts Interactive, and Graphis New Media among others.
